I copied a card I saw at Mainely Stampin in Fairfield, CA. The original card had a stamped Merry Christmas sentiment, and it was a one layer card. It looked great; however, I ended up using die-cut sentiments and putting my one layer on a card base. I usually feel better when something is matted, and I wanted to pick up on the pink in the ribbon.
CARD: 4 ¼” x 5 ½” Bazzill Cardstock (card base and sentiment) Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Snowflakes Sugar Pink Boutique Ribbon, Bubblegum Pink and Lime Green Check Elizabeth Craft Designs Dies, 748-Feliz Navidad, 745-Merry Christmas Zutter Bow-it-All Dritz Fran Check Glue Dots
This card couldn't be simpler. I spent more time looking for the manual for my Bow-it-All than I did making the cards. I still haven't found the manual. Instead, I went online and watched a good video on You Tube: Zutter Bow-it-All Tutorial * Bow Making Basics with Really Reasonable Ribbon by Bonnie Garby. I remembered that I thought her videos were very well done and easier to follow than the ones on the Zutter website. I just set up the tool in front of the computer, and that was it.
When the card was completely assembled, and the ends of the bows were trimmed, I slipped some non-stick paper under the ends of the ribbon and applied some Fray Check to them. Then I just set the cards aside to dry. I save the release paper from double-sided adhesive. I always find a use for it, and this is one of them.
