A few Months Ago, I came to a "Scrapping Block" I wanted to do more work on my Sons baby book, but I just didn't have the motivation or inspiration to continue onto the next page. I kept finding all these pieces of paper, with wonderful ideas to use, but didn't suit what I wanted to do with his book... and then one day I was out op-shopping... I came across an 8x8 unused scrapbook with "Baby Boy" written on it. An idea was born: It wasn't my style, but I had always wanted to look into making baby books for other people - if only to use up my excess supplies I would otherwise not use, and to support the hobby. I belong to a Pay it Forward site on Facebook, so I started there to test my idea and to see if I could do it...
I offered the 8x8 scrapbook and for me to do a baby book for someone - including a title page, a page for each month of the first year and 7 milestone pages. In the end, the lady who I chose to do it for asked me to do a few things a little bit different... She didn't want milestones, or the traditional months - she wanted to go by the seasons and have blank pages for her to be able to make her own collages of photos for each theme. I have never done an 8x8 book before (usually I do 12 x12) and I usually have photo's to go by to base the page on - But, I was up for the challenge! This project is what I ended up doing for her.
I just did the title for this one so that she can put her own family tree together.
The patterned leaf border I got from a "Creative Memories" Magazine, the Paper from SENZ (New Zealand Scrapbooking Expo) and the title lettering stickers from the "Rosies" range at The Warehouse.
