I wasn’t going to upload this because it’s far from one of the nicer LOs I’ve done, but in the end it’s the photos and the memory I wanted to preserve so here it is.

Journaling:

A day to remember. We were vacationing in Florida and had eaten lunch the day before on Ft. Meyers Beach. You looked at the sky with eyes as big as saucers watching a parasailer and said, “I want to do that!” I said, “No, you don’t.” But you were sure, so the next day we went back. Your brother, who isn’t fond of heights, decided to Jet Ski, but you got harnessed up.

It was very windy and there was a debate about taking you up, but soon you were in the air. The wind then decided to really make its presence known and your 15 minute ride turned into more than 45 minutes because they couldn’t get you back down. Everyone on the beach was yelling, “Pull, Amy, pull.” But you were tiring and the wind just kept you hanging up there.

Finally one of the instructors changed the command directions and yelled up to you to just pull the rope on the one side. That made the parasail tilt enough that the wind lost its grip on you and you floated back down to earth. You were full of smiles and so excited to get a ride more than three times as long as anyone else.
