Our giant schnauzer Rebel was five years old and the king of the hill when we brought home little mini schnauzer Maxx who was less than six months old. Reb needed company and Maxx needed a home, so we thought it was the perfect arrangement. Having had minis before we should have known it wasn't going to be that easy, lol! Maxx came in with an attitude bigger than he was. We actually thought Reb was going to eat him in the beginning!! But, as always, things work themselves out with a bit of subtle refereeing, and now Reb lets him think he's the boss and protects him from everything, even us!. They play so hard, I don't know how Maxx lives through it, but as you can see he's definitely the Alpha Dog (in his mind)!!
