I wanted to try the new-to-me technique of emboss resist so I decided to make this card embossing some small sentiment stamps with white embossing powder and then blending on various Tim Holtz Distress Inks over top. The embossed areas resisted the ink and the sentiments seemed to appear from the card stock as if by magic as I blended on the inks. The image is a CC Designs stamp called Monster Eli, that I fell in love with the minute I saw him, but never got to ink him up, until now. I colored him with Copic markers and popped him up with double sided foam adhesive and askew from the edge of the card as if he's jumping into the frame of the card saying "Boo To You!" The panel was edged with some scraps from the Graphic 45 Le Cirque collection and adhered to a black card stock card base. For added dimension and interest, I die cut some bats in different sizes and layered them for strength and stability as well as curling the top layer to create the look as if they are flying off the card front!
