I like the fussy cut stamped images. Like too the overall LO design that allows you to display the three photos of your trip destination. Like the addition of the little dragonfly accents. Great too that journaling was included. And your titlework was nice on this.
How interesting - that would be very touching and moving to see these statues and the words engraved. Such a big part of our history! I'm learning from your layouts! You scrapped this one so perfectly - I love the paper you chose! Great paper choices!
Vicksburg Military National Park 2014 trip - getting caught up on some older photos. Journaling reads: "The Wisconsin State Memorial was constructed of granite and stands 122 feet in height. A bronze statue of "Old Abe" the war eagle, mascot of the 8th Wisconsin Infantry, sits atop the monument. On either side soldiers –on one side a Yankee stands next to his dying horse ready to blow away on the other side the Rebel who shot him. Dedicated on May 22, 1911, the memorial features bronze tablets with the names of the 9,075 Wisconsin troops who fought at Vicksburg, and a relief tablet at the base of the column picture a Union and Confederate soldier with hands clasped in friendship to symbolize the peace which now exists between the states. "
I tried something different on this layout. I stamped the roses and then used watercolor pencils for coloring. Still not sure on them or my clusters but it is done.
