Elizabeth, this is so wonderful!!! Love it!!!! I tried one of these a while back, and it was frustrating!!!! Definitely harder than it looks!!!! But this turned out great!!!! Love the paper and the twine at the top!!!!!
You are clever and creative ,I have looked at the design before but thought to tough but you have excelled well done.Lovely male pps , the twine and key add a perfect touch.
So funny Elizabeth, because when I did yours, first & last by the way, I messed up several papers!. I kept saying this can't be that hard, but obviously I had a mental block!!! It is no wonder I don't try step cards, etc! I love the papers you used & how you did the twine at the top! Beautiful card sweetie!:)
I finally got around to "lifting" a design from our dear friend, Marylou, (Meggie's Nana), who made a card like this for me. I have it hanging on my card display in my Craft Palace, saw it today, and decided to give it a try. So, I took it down, did a bunch of measuring and chose paper I wanted to use, only to find out I had cut it wrong! Then I chose the paper pictured here, did some more measuring, folding, goofing up, and then trying again! Hahaha. I was just about to take her card apart to see how she did and I told myself, NO, if I can't figure it out on my own, then too bad! LOL Well, I finally figured it out and I sort of like how it turned out! :-)
Again, I used paper scraps (been trying to do more of that lately). This is for my eldest cousin of my grandparents grandkids, who I got to see this summer when I went to CA and got a little closer to! (I'm the youngest)
Did a little inking around the edges, stamping, used twine ribbon from Walmart and added a key. Pretty simple and sweet. You'd think I wouldn't have had such a hard time figuring out that angle folding!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!
