This is a birthday card for a girl turning 18 who loves the glam-style. To create the background, I used an intricate trellis die but rather than die cutting it, I used the die to emboss the card stock. Then I used some distress ink to highlight the embossing that I think ended up looking like the quilting of Chanel purses! :)
I used a Stamping Bella stamp called Uptown Girl Audrey Loves Her Make Up for the focal point. I Copic colored her and fussy cut her out so that she could stand right in the middle of the embossed/raised background frame. I added some red Stickles around the border of the frame to add a little glitz and sparkle. For the inside, I used an old Stampin' Up Birthday sentiment and the wonderful quote from the Stamping Bella stamp set. I matted the inside label on some red foil paper to carry through the shine and color highlights from the front.
