This is my Grandma and Grandpa Bauer...who lived in Evansville Indiana after they immigrated from Germany in the late 1800s. My father was their oldest child and spoke only German until he was six years old.....My grandmother was a wonderful cook and an avid gardener.....My Grandpa owned his own auto repair and filling station until he died in 1948. I wish there were more photos of that and of them.
I made this flower out of petals that I cut and the leaves and stem I cut free-hand.....The flower is in honor of my Grandmothers beautiful Rose gardens....I remember them so well.
