This is a two page LO about our stop in the Badlands in 2012. I was inspired by a sketch that can be found here: http://evenmorescrapping.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-04-10T10:00:00-07:00&max-results=10&start=426&by-date=false I didn't change too much about it except to use one of the photo slots as a journaling spot.

I did go a little pop dot crazy and apply them to the backs of several of the photos to create raised (two types so two heights) and lowered (none at all) areas throughout the collage block. Then I used them again for the circle around the animals, the sun and the flowers. I added the squirrel because there is a squirrel on each layout (or double layout - as in this case) of this trip album. I added the deer because we saw deer (pretty close too) when we followed the trail on which my DH is pictured posing upon. The sun was hot that day and probably the reason the deer weren't in a big hurry to move away from all the people. They had found some nice shade.

The striped paper is National Park Stripe by Stamping Station. The blue/grey paper is Celeste from Moulin Rouge Collection by Prima. The deer, sun and flowers and title were cut on my Silhouette. I stamped the squirrel with a stamp by Craft Smart and colored it with gamisol and colored pencils.

Challenges: August Multi Pic, August Use Your Stamps, August UFO, August - What's Next 8 Photos and those sponsored by Sb.com of course.
