I watch you cradle my baby son...I see you close your eyes as you gently kiss his sweet head. All of a sudden I wonder what you must be feeling. Are you remembering? As you cuddle him, you have to be swept back to when your boys were babies. Grant looks so much like your babies looked...Are you remembering how sweet they smelled? How right and good they felt? Are you remembering your hopes for them, your dreams for them? Even thought the oldest is thirty four and the youngest is twenty one, it must seem like yesterday...Can you still hear their laughter? Do their footsteps echo on the halls of your heart? And then I catch my breath as I realize that my time for baby cuddles and love will pass all too quickly...Am I prepared for that? Have I etched your sweet baby smile on my heart? Will I be able to hear you sweet baby voice in my dreams? I will do my bery best to take the time to record these sweet precious memories so that one day when I hold your children in my arms, I'll be able to close my eyes as I kiss their sweet baby heads and remember all those precious moments with you. Thank you, Mimi, for helping me to realize that I MUST cherish each and every sweet baby moment.
