Monday, August 4th, 2014 – This morning we woke up in Djupivogur, Iceland. Beautiful town but very tiny. We had all day to spend here with the last tender leaving for the ship at 6:30 tonight. However, everyone went back very early because not much was going on.
After using the internet at the tourist information center we walked to the egg sculptures. There are 34 different species of birds that make Djupivogur their home. An artist sculpted an oversized egg out of granite or marble to represent each of the bird species. It was interesting to see all the giant eggs on concrete pillars.
