It is a beautiful card. Could you still Holly on the front to make it more Christmas if that is what is bothering you? Or Stamp/print a Valentine sentiment on plain white cardstock (like you can get at staples...that is what I use for inside 110 lb...I think) and glue it on the inside to cover the other one.
This is beyond amazing...I can't see your goof...so don't worry! Although, I admit, I tend to be very critical of myself, too! Your envelope is just as perfect & your powder embossing is so perfect!
Ro this is way cool! When I first glanced at it I thought it was the actual stamp until I looked closer! Love the embossing & I think it will make a lovely Christmas card. If that smudge bothers you to much maybe stamp a Merry Christmas on it. I am like that too & sometimes it is what it is! It is handmade & subject to little flaws, that is what makes them so special!:)
I think this would be beautiful for Christmas. I love the sentiment and especially love all the embossing. Don't worry about a smudge. That is just the artist's prerogative to make one spot darker! Lovely.
Beautiful design! Love the bg, and the stamping on the envelope is gorgeous! Personally, I think the "smudge" adds even more interest and beauty to the design. The lace flower is pretty. I would use this for either - Christmas or Valentine's Day.
I created this flower a loonng time ago, last year I think. Ive been trying to remember just how I did it. I cant remember if I colored the white lace or if the discoloring is from the spray adhesive I used to keep the glitter on. I glued the lace onto a hand punched scalloped circle. The center is an old button with the shank removed. The red background was created by debossing the paper with an embossing folder. I applied Versa Mark to the raised side of the folder and ran it all through my Cuttlebug. I then added clear embossing powder to the debossed paper and heated. I made the envelope as well. I stamped some of the scrolls on it by using the same embossing folder. I selected the scrolls I wanted to add to my envelope and covered the rest with paper and tape. I then applied ink to the raised side of the folder. I removed the paper and tape then stamped the envelope with the inked up folder. I did this twice trying to make a good arrangement but it didnt work as well as I had hoped. I even made a smudge but it is what it is. I seriously thought about using this card for a Valentine but I stamped a Christian/Christmas sentiment inside. Im still unsure about it as a Christmas card. What do you all think? Thanks muchly for all your comments and feedback :o)Ro
