Well, I'm back with my third canvas attempt. I made this as a birthday gift for my best friend. I asked her what her favorite home decor colors were and she said oh, I love turquoise and I have green, yellow, navy blue, a tad of orange, gold, and so on! So I have a tad or a lot of everything! LOL

First off, when I was cleaning out one of my kitchen cabinets I ran across a box of waxed bakery tissues. Don't know where I got it or even why! So, I thought I"ll take that out to my Craft Palace and use it for something I've been wanting to try....a background on a canvas. So I applied it with Mod Podge, crinkling it up as I went. Then chose all my embellies. That's where some of the fun came in. The clock, leaf border and title chippies came from Creative Embellishments. I used lace from Walmart and the lace under the title is from Gone Artsy, as well as the BEAUTIFUL champagne blend glitter glass. I posted several pictures so you could possibly see the detail a little better. On here I also used 3 old earrings that my sister gave me when I was in California. She was having a yard sale some time this summer and had a bag of earrings. I grabbed a bunch of them. The leaf under the heart locket is part of an earring that I took apart for this. The pretty heart locket, hummingbird, butterfly and corners are all from Hobby Lobby. The lovely key on the locket is from Marylou. Thank you sweet friend! The pearls in the lower corner are from Pamela Wright's boutique. Also used a little cheesecloth under the clock and some drywall tape for texture. The key and lock are Tim Holtz.

Then came the color applications. Lots of different things piled on for that! I applied gesso over everything first, then went to spray mists, acrylic paints, paint dabbers, Bo Bunny Blueberry Glitter Paste and even some Dew Drops chalk inks and finally Perfect Pearls spray mists to give it a sheen. I also used homemade spray mist (aqua) and Tattered Angels Mantis (green). The gold microbeads are from Reneabouquets.

Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery. I really appreciate all the wonderful feedback I have received in the past.
