Next stop on the Cascades Lakes Byway was Crane Reservoir (upper left photo) and the marvelous Cultus Lake Resort. The reservoir was created in 1922 for irrigation. It is famous for the huge cranebows (lunker rainbow trout). We had a wonderful lunch at the lodge and even had a table overlooking the lake. It was truly stunning. Thanks so much for looking. I'm honored.
