In this vintage photo, my paternal grandfather is pictured on the right with a good friend.

The pull-out jounaling tag tells a little of his life, including the following information: Charles was born in 1879 in Arkansas. Family lore says that Charles' father died when he was 12, at which time he went to live with an Indian agent on the Choctaw reservation in Oklahoma. As a young man he returned to Arkansas and married my grandmother. They had six children and relocated to Texas. Charles died in 1945.
