So lovely, Randi! And you make winter sound so wonderful! LOL I'll have to think of your words when I'm shivering outside scraping ice off my car! Ha! And thanks for your sweet comments on my latest layouts! <hugs> Carrie :)
I hate to tell you this, but that card is anything BUT "simple"!! Absolutely GORGEOUS!! Your granddaughter did a fabulous job on that snowflake! Would love to know how to make those! Your embellishments are perfect for the beautiful card!
WOW, be still my heart! This is truly a work of art by your daughter & adding the doily, rose was the perfect touch for this beauty. Traditions are the best. I just wish my kids & grandkids lived closer, we miss out on so much!:)
Gorgeous card!!! Your granddaughter did an excellent job on the snowflake and you did an excellent job in adding the finishing touches allowing the snowflake to be perfectly balanced!!! Stunning!!!
You have such lovely Christmas traditions with your grandkids! It is so touching and sweet that you are using your granddaughters craft as part of your design, she must be so happy to have such a crafty grandma! It is a lovely card. Crafting is a wonderful way to spend time together. Wishing you and your family a lovely snow season.
I've seen these beautiful snowflakes before but what a brilliant idea to use it on a card, and how special that it was made by your dear granddaughter. The details you added are perfect! Absolutely stunning card!
Since for the majority Winter will soon be upon us, blowing it's cold winds, snowflakes will be dancing in the air, the limbs of trees and the earth will soon be blanketed with snow, we will be grabbing those warm coats, scarves, mittens, and sipping hot cocoa in front of the fire, grabbing our favorite warm, soft, cozy blanket, and our favorite book, reading in front of a toasty fire, I made a winter-themed card. It's a simple card, with it's main subject the snowflake. My grandchildren and I have always delighted to sit in front of the t.v. and watch a beloved cartoon, "Little Bear." This started with the first grandchild, and got passed down and soon became a family tradition of winter. I cherish these moments. My granddaughter, who is ever so blessed with working with her hands, made the paper snowflake. I thought it was beautiful and knew I wanted to use it on a card. I wanted something simple. So I just placed it on top of a doily, put a pink rose in the middle and a holly pick. Hard to believe that we are almost done with the month of October, and will soon be getting ready for Thanksgiving - and those cold, frosty nights. For me, the Summer flew past way too fast. And, as always, I am sad to see it come to a close. Thank you to all who take time to look and leave feedback. I appreciate your support and encouragement- and you!
