My little girl! This is Memorial Day weekend at the first Music in the Park event in our area and I cannot believe how much she's changed since then! (Walking, more hair, attitude to name just a few things!) I am loving dressing her in girlie stuff and she was looking very patriotic for this day in a cute t-shirt with the same phrase as the title tho you can't see it, a cute r/w/b skirt and matching bow (which she now refuses to wear). She borrowed those fun wings from my friend's daughter and I had way too much fun taking pictures of her wandering around with them on. I snapped this pic and then played with an app I'm obsessed with called Color POP which you can use to pop only parts of the photo in color. I chose the wings and LOVED how it looked! The problem was finding a way to showcase the photo on a page....

Well we can just enter this whole page in my Hoarders challenge because this was actually my August Scraplift the Person Before You entry that I never finished. I got to lift SewFlake and I have several to do, but I picked her page You Sparkle, seen here:

I don't really have very many patriotic papers (GASP!), but I really wanted to make my own background anyway. So I used some gelatos, mists and masks and texture paste to make the 'flag' on the back. The fact that its shaped like a heart is kind of a coincidence.... albeit a happy one LOL! I did the background back in August, but just couldn't sit down and finish the page. I'm glad I waited because I really love how this turned out! I added the star/heart and distressing stamps this weekend and then finished the page with that butterfly stamp that will be my new obsession!
