So I had a birthday order for a mother that likes birds. So I started looking at birdhouses and came across this free image Front Door at Beccy’s Place. The lady loved it and said that is what she wanted for her mom’s birthday card.

So I printed the image and noticed around the image it had a slight pink tone to it. It is very noticeable once printed on white cardstock. So in trying to figure out how to solve this problem (without asking Hubby for Photoshop magic at the last minute) I came up with this. I thought if I framed it then it wouldn’t be so noticeable. So I went through my supplies and found this die that I had bought this year when a on-line store was going out of business. It had a mat in the middle so I cut that away so I would only have a frame (that’s why if you look closely it is not even edges on the inside…so don’t look close!!) It ended up being the perfect frame as it reminds me of lattice that would be found in a garden. I then had a scrap piece of gray that had already been embossed to look like bricks and it fit perfectly behind the frame. Can’t see the bricks unless you look closely but they are there. The lady loved it and will give it to her mom tomorrow!
