This is the most gorgeous card. Even without the fancy fold, it is fabulous. I love the large sentiment that extends beyond the oval and the bird and background paper are so lovely. Your poinsettias are simply amazing. What a talent you have for shaping flowers. Lovely work.
Wow! The papers in this card are gorgeous. I love the shutter card fold and love the way you left the sentiment section white so it could be stamped. Was the bird on that pretty paper? I love the the dark matting behind your bird oval and the way you covered the bottom with your perfect poinsettias. I've never seen a poinsettia die that is prettier. Your shaping has made them so realistic. I am always amazed by the professional look of each of your cards. Very classy card.
Beautiful!!! I love this paper and those darling poinsettias and foliage. That brown bg really made the card pop. Love the little birdie too. Wonderful Tri-Fold Shutter!
Oh my, I am honored that you chose to lift my card!!! And your card is totally gorgeous! Love how the poinsettias circle the bottom of the oval and such a pretty image!
I made 2 cards for the twist in the Christmas in October Challenge - lift one of the cards that was submitted to the Christmas in September Challenge. I love Linny's tri-fold shutter cards (https://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/225889/view/5729303/-1/0/0.html ), so I decided to try this new-to-me fold. My hat goes off to Linny and all the other card makers who make a variety of fancy fold cards. I now have a better appreciation of the skill, time and love that goes into each one. Thanks for the inspiration Linny!
For this first one, I used bronze metallic as well as red and green cardstock by Recollections. The patterned paper is by Wild Rose Studios and MFT. I cut the oval with the bird image with a Spellbinders' die but since it was the largest one in the set and I wanted a matting for it I ended up having to fussy cut a larger one. I made the poinsettias using my new dies by Dee's Distinctively dies. The fir sprigs are an Impression Obsession die and the Merry Christmas die is by Penny Black. I added a stamped sentiment by Hero Arts and traced over it with my clear Wink of Stella pen to add a bit of sparkle.
Thank you very much for your kindness and encouragement! It all means so much to me!
