Oh my I also agree with Marylou, I would be committed before I could ever finish one of these cards. My fingers may fall off in trying, but I would grab my glue gun and glue them back on.
That front cover is amazing. You have the ability to take a paper flower and shape it to look like the real thing. This is beautiful. I love that fancy frame. This is one of my favorites of all your Christmas cards!
Wow, this is incredible. I love the fancy fold! Your Spellbinders fancy frame is so gorgeous to frame your poinsettia. I love the background behind the flower and the beautiful gold flourishes. Your poinsettia is perfection. I love the way you have shaped the leaves to look exactly like the real flower. It is so beautifully layered. Amazing work. I love the glittered Merry Christmas that matches the glittered flourish. Beautiful sentiment block. This makes me want to try a shutter card. There is so much work in this and it is certainly worth the effort. Simply delightful!
A gorgeous card and folding technique! And I agree with Marylou- have no idea how this is done, but it is really amazing! I also have this papers in my stash, they are very nice
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the paper and the poinsettia. After seeing this design, I tried one; needless to say mine did not turn out beautiful like yours and Linny's. Maybe I'll have to try again!
I have no idea how this is done, but it really is amazing! I am not sure when I will be ready to create one of these??? I would probably be committed before I got it done! lol
Oh be still my heart!! LC this is way beyond gorgeous & a tri-fold card besides! I love the rich Christmas colors, die cut & the poinsettia is WOW! What a special gift for someone!:)
I made 2 cards for the twist in the Christmas in October Challenge - lift one of the cards that was submitted to the Christmas in September Challenge. I love Linny's tri-fold shutter cards (https://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/225889/view/5729303/-1/0/0.html ), so I decided to try this new-to-me fold. My hat goes off to Linny and all the other card makers who make a variety of fancy fold cards. I now have a better appreciation of the skill, time and love that goes into each one. Thanks for the inspiration Linny!
For this second one, I used cardstock and patterned paper by Recollections that I already had in my stash. The oval dies are by Spellbinders. I made the poinsettia using my new dies by Dee's Distinctively dies. The holly flourish die is by Cheery Lynn and the Merry Christmas die is by Penny Black. I used gold glitter Kaisercraft cardstock to cut both. I added a stamped sentiment by Hero Arts and traced over it with my clear Wink of Stella pen to add a bit of sparkle.
Thank you very much for your kindness and encouragement! It all means so much to me!
