I've always loved this quote. And I just love this picture! I took this of my son a couple years ago, when he was 2 playing with his new umbrella and rain boots. Every time I look at the picture, that quote goes through my head. This page has been on my mind a while and I thought yesterday's crop at a LSS was the perfect time to try it. I had played with that same ColorPop app on my phone to highlight just the red boots and the umbrella and love how it turned out!

Glad I did because I'm really happy with how it came together! It was messy and colorful and so much fun! Not to mention really fast! (plus drying time)

I did the rainbow technique with my gelato collection, gessoing the white paper first, making the rainbow and then sprayed it repeatedly and let the color drip down the page. I washi-taped the lid of my gesso jar to the page to leave room for his photo. After it dried, I used Modge Podge over the heaviest of the gelatos to prevent rubbing off. Just for fun I added the wood and sequin embellies. For the Boys Only and National ____ Day (Color Day, Oct 22nd) Challenge. Also used old letters for the title so will include in my Hoarders Challenge.
