I've always admired how mixed media artists used different colors on faces and thought I couldn't do it--No way. It was hard enough for me to use all these bright colors since they are outside my comfort zone but, I realized I needed to try it (even if I failed miserably.) So here is my first attempt at non-flesh tones-- a green faced gal with chevron textered hair, glowing with Inka Gold paints, and my favorite new technique of font title printed on tissue paper.
