Simply beautiful. Where did you find the reindeer? What a great die cut!! Was the sewing really that easy? I sew material...but haven't tried it on a LO...you did a great job!
This is beautiful. My needle is broken on my sewing machine and this makes me want to stitch another page. I LOVE the picture, and the way you used the reindeer and the flourishes. :)
OH WOW Kim...this is sooo original. I love EVERYTHING you have done here. From the torn/crumbled pp, picture, stitching, to the design. BUT my favorite is the reindeer...to cool!!! I'm embarassed to say I have never embossed before, and you have inspired me to find out more.
never mind, I found it! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT RIBBON!!! Did you crinkle it? Or did it come that way? Great job! This whole LO is fantastic! Thanks for mentioning me, that's awesome! I have a ??? How does one get involved in challenges??
Now you know I love stitching and you did an awesome job of it! That photo is too sweet. And I love the new BG papers. I love that reindeer and swirls too. Did you cut them out or do they came like that? I haven't seen the new line except on the internet, so I haven't seen it up close. Great layout!
Beautiful, gorgeous, fantastic!!! I know that's a bit much, but I love it!!! Your stitching is awesome and that is such a great photo!!! It is soooo pretty!!
I did this early for #14 Elsie Challenge (scraplift a technique). I'm trying to get ahead before the holiday! I tried 2 new techniques on this LO: sewing & embossing. I scraplifted the sewing idea from Rodeeogrl's Meeting Mason LO (http://www.scrapbook.com/scrapbook_layouts/showphoto.php/photo/428261/cat/fav) Thank you Anna @ my local LSS for showing me how to use the sewing machine... I'm hooked!!! :)
Hidden journaling behind photo:
Dearest Olivia, You met Santa Claus when you were 4 months old, but you were too young to understand. Now that you are older, you are fully aware of the jolly old elf. You met him again this Christmas at Daddy's work, but wanted nothing to do with him. I thought you would be fine because we saw Santa so much at the mall, although from a distance. You were okay waiting in line, but panicked when I tried to sit you on his lap. You would have nothing to do with him until Daddy and I sat too. Poor Santa... I'm sure we were a heavy load!
