Let the wild shine, love this LO, so full of fun, great work!! My grand-daughter often becomes a cat, purrs, hisses and growls, let the imagination flow!!
This is so very darling!! LOVE the messy wildness of the bg with all the fun mix of embellies and textures. LOVE those stitched circles and the flower die cuts! I think this is perfect for your little wild child!
Great page and great story. My son spent several years dressed as a superhero or firefighter. Sometimes I got looks, but I didn't care. Let them be themselves. Love the creativity of your pages.
When I first saw this pic all I could think was "show me your grrrr face!" Seriously adorable! And your LO is amazing! I think of it as structured chaos, which goes GREAT with the girly-grrr face!!
This is so cool!! Love the colors and whole collage of this page! Great photo too! Thanks for playing in the December Sewing and Mixed Media Challenges!
LOL! She is quite the girl. Sounds like she's a trend-setter too. I love your page and love your stitching. This will be a layout she will look back on in a few years and really laugh. Delightful.
Love this photo! Your daughter is a hoot and a a half. Never a dull moment at your house, I'll bet. Thanks for sharing, this is great and captures the moment perfectly!
Just love the picture of her! She's adorable and obviously is her own person! That is good for a child to have so much inner strength. She really does love the dinosaurs! I love the way you write out the stories behind your layouts. That is always so interesting to me! This layout is perfect and I love how you captured the wild girl side of her - especially with the pinks and butterflies! Beautifully done!
She is some girl. Although she doesn't paly particularly rough or loud very often, when she is being a dinosaur all bets are off! When she is a gallimimus she is very fast and dashes about. When she is a raptor she jumps off tall objects and "glides" down. When she is a t-rex she is fierce and hungry! Today she was a wolf on the play ground. She gets really into character and growls and paws....she is truly wild. I know it doesn't always come across well in class or on the play ground. Some times the other kids join in and play along (often I am surprised when she is such the trend setter), other times she has caused a ruckus or even "scared" a kid or two. I have explained that her actions will get different reaction of out kids, sometimes they will like it and some times they will not. Its up to her to decided if she wants to adapt or not. At this point I personally don't care. All's fair in love and war on the playground battlefield....as long as there is no sand throwing or intentional meanness.
I really wasn't sure how to do this picture. I love it sooo much for its fierceness, but I knew I didn't want to do in literal animal references. So I created this wild scene...its all girlie stuff gone a bit crazed. What do you think? TFL
