Downtown Ramona has a beautiful little main street lined on both sides with little antique shops and cafes. There is an amazing doughnut store in Ramona, and Bill always makes sure there is a box of fresh doughnuts on the kitchen counter. Between the See's candy, fudge, and doughnuts, Bill and I have both added a few pounds on this visit!
Bill and I made a doughnut run one morning and decided to wander through some of the antique shops. I spotted a really pretty turquoise necklace in one of the antique shops - I had never seen turquoise in such a pretty green color! And the silver setting was beautiful! The owner said she bought it at a jewelry show in Arizona in the 1950's and kept it in her personal jewelry collection until now. Bill really loved it too but still, we decided to think about it for a while before buying it – we knew we would be here several more days.
