He's definitely wearing his winter coat! Kind of makes me like bird feeders a little less. I hadn't though of other birds or animals waiting to attack. Nature is both cruel and beautiful.

3 Jan 2017...This cute little fellow is an American Kestrel, the smallest member of the falcon family in North America. Kestrels are raptors [birds of prey] so he has been staking out my bird feeders on a daily basis in the hopes of grabbing a smaller bird for a meal. So, here he is sitting in a tree waiting patiently for the opportunity to strike. [P1039947]
