CSI 222: (and mixed media layout.) I wanted to try something different, and I have seen videos where they use cruppled tissue paper to create a background, so I used that method, to create texture in the background, then added some gesso, then water soluble pastels (in black) and stazon ink to highlight the background. then added some blue pastels.
Then added some layers with vellum and some netting, and inked the edges to give more dimension. Fussy cut cardinals from G45 Time to flourish paper. Added some gems (recollections). And stamped snowflakes. And a few red acrylic paint splatters. I also used red glitter paper to layer, but the picture doesn't show it really well.

This is also for the national day challenge: in celebration of national bird day: January 15.

Mixed medial challenge, twist: try something different--I used a tissue paper background for something new and different.
