I thought she may have complained about the hair in this one LOL - but I have plenty the same - that is why I am laughing - with her not at her. I love the pp and the photos are lovely...but what you wrote in your explanation was beautiful.
AAWWWHHH!!! I love the whole thing and it inspires me to do a page for my daughter like it!!! love the doodles on the letters and the tag....WAY TO GO!! great page!
This layout is absolutely AWESOME - And you are truly AMAZING!!! I can't get over how much mileage you got out of your supplies! I would never have thought of some of the brilliant ways you created this! Your dd is soooo pretty - I see the resemblance to Sarah...Wonderful colors and design - Just a great layout all around, as always!!!
Wowza!
I just love the collage of flowers and doodles around her photos and the way you decorated your title.
I thought this was a digital page at first glance... it is so perfect!
OUTSTANDING, love love love the way you have used those rub-ons here and also the penwork, amazing, and your daughter is beautiful (even with the big hair )we all have those shots tucked away lol, fabulous work as always TFS :)
Sue! This is beautiful, so much to look at. Your daughter was beautiful. I remember big hair lol... you did an amazing job for the challenge, using some very creative ideas. Love the soft blue here and all the flourishes and swirlies. Really love how the One and Only Daughter turned out with your doodling. Truley a gorgeous page!
“My One and Only Daughter” While I have two sons, I have only one daughter. And what a joy she has been to me! From the day she was born, she has been a wonderful daughter (except for about a year or so as a teenager, heheee). Even today, as a grown woman, she is still a wonderful daughter. AND she is also the mother of Sarah!!
When I started working on this layout, she saw the pictures and said “Mom, you need to throw those away!” I told her No way, I love these pictures! She replied “But look at that BIG hair!!”. I told her … not to worry … it was 1991!!!! (I don’t know where the last 15 years have gone!)
So, here she is… My daughter at 17.
This is for the scraps challenge. I used one sheet of “Around the Block” cardstock (Fluer Brune – blue side) I cut out the paper behind the pictures, so I could use them as flower punches. (you know... use the scraps right up!!) Also, I had oodles of doodles (Basic Grey) leftovers and some I didn’t know if I would ever use. So I snipped and cut and separated until I filled them all around the pictures. For instance: I took the word FAMILY(Basic Grey rub-on) and cut the M and the Y out for the word MY. I kept all the swirls and added a few more. I added and added the rub-ons until I thought I had enough. I used the white and black rub-ons. Then I filled in even more with my white Gelly Roll pen and my black Sarasa pen. The 1991 was originally white stick on letters, but I colored them with Zig Color Brush (Cool Beans).
I also doodled on the Heidi Swapp letters with the white Gelly Roll pen, as well as the metal tag with 17 on it.
Products: “Around the Block” cardstock (Fluer Brune – blue side), Basic Grey Rub-on transfers, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, Zig Color Brush, Gelly Roll pen, Sarasa pen, prima flowers, Marvy flowr punch (2 sizes), Making memories mini silver circle brads, Provo Craft & Art Accents Bradlets, NRN Designs Vellum Sticker; grey cardstock
