As soon as I saw this card by Nylene motherbambi (https://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/card/5817919.html), I knew that I wanted to try to lift it. Since I don't have a digital cutter, I used my layering heart dies and my manual machine. I first cut the dark pink pieces and decided on where I wanted my heart cut-out to be. After I die cut the first one, I used that as a template for the other three pieces so that they were all cut exactly the same. I repeated this with the smaller pieces of lighter pink using the next heart die down in the set. Once the light pink pieces were die cut, I ran them back through my machine using a tiny hearts embossing folder. I assembled my pieces and added an even smaller heart in the middle of the cut-out with a sweet image that I cut from a sheet of Doodlebug design patterned paper and a tiny twine bow. (I repeated this on the back of the heart as well.) I then added a die cut 'happy' and the stamped 'Valentine's Day' from Technique Tuesday's Say It - happy set.
Thank you Nylene for the awesome inspiration!
