S4 Week 10 - Take Me As I Am A LO with "Acceptance" as the theme.
A lo about me...who I am right now, what DH has to deal with.
Journaling: "I know I haven't been the easiest to live with the past few months--late nights at school, evening classes, my ever changing moods... Getting used to this teaching thing has been rough. It's so different from taking over someone else's classroom for a while - a day, a week, a month, or even half a year! This time, *I* am the one solely responsible for the education and success of these children. It is so much more time consuming than I ever expected. I used to *refuse* to "take school home with me". Now, it's rare that the bag doesn't come home, brimming with grading to be done. There are stacks for grading, research for lesson plans or classroom management plans to decipher. They say the first year of teaching is the hardest, and I expected that..but what I didn't expect was for it to be hard on *you*, or hard on *us*. Believe me when I say I am doing the best I can...even when the laundry needs to be washed 3 times because I forgot to put it in the dryer, or we're having frozen pizza *again*, or I forgot to tell you about yet another after-school meeting. Please accept that I am doing the best I can, and let that be *good enough*."
