When I started to think about what I wanted to create for sketch #4 in the February Card Sketch Challenge, this is the design that popped into my mind, so I ran with it. In the Spring Things Odds and Ends pack by Doodlebug design, there are cute acetate die cuts. I wanted to find a way to feature this sweet acetate bee so I created a scalloped frame with a white vellum center that would allow the light to come through. (I placed a piece of pink polka-dot paper behind my card in the photo to show how the circle filters the light.) I made a smaller top fold base card and die cut part of a circle out of the top to create a spot for my vellum circle to sit. The patterned papers are also from this same Doodlebug design collection.
