This is the first year of your autumn tradition when we go apple picking. You and I went one warm September day. We looked at the animals, played in the orchards, and picked some of the best apples! You ran down the aisle and stopped to examine a juicy, red apple that was hanging low on a tree. I told you to pick it and you looked at me with those innocent eyes and it was like I gave you the world. You turned to me with that apple and said, "eat?". Of course, you can eat it!! That first timid bite...oh how sweet. We ate apples, picked a bag full, and laughed! What a wonderful memory to have of you at almost 2 and me a lucky mommy! I hope we can do this every year!
