A dear friend's husband was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He is a big Star Wars fan and his wife is an avid crafter, so I thought I would try to create some fun Star Wars-Crafting mash up scenes that I hoped would lift their spirits and bring smiles to their faces.

I found these images online and printed them out multiple times so that I could fussy cut detailed images and pop them up on multiple layers of fun foam to give interest and dimension.
The top image is of Darth Vader with an outstretched arm, and I created a little mailer package (from a scrap of a real mailer envelope and washi tape) and gave him a speech bubble that says, "What the heck is happy mail?"

The second one is of the scene in Episode IV where the Jawas are selling the droids to Luke and his Uncle Owen. I thought this was akin to our crafty destashes so I captioned it "Jawa Destash" and did tons of very detailed fussy cutting to give all the characters lots of dimension.

The third is a close up picture of Queen Amidala in her royal/senatorial finery. To that one I added bling, gold and cranberry Stickles, and a funny caption that says, "You're a crafter, right? So after a 40% off coupon, you can make this for $25, right?"

I had fun thinking up and creating these scenes on gesso board. I hope they will brighten my friends' days.
