This is just fabulous. I don't know how you cut the slider track with your circle dies. Do you use something to put a stop where you want the sun to stop. I may have to do some googling or YouTubing. What a beautiful job. I can't believe you were able to find all the colors of sequins. It is perfect!!
You have the best ideas. I am always amazed by your creativity and art. This would be a perfect card just as normal card, but adding the slider is such a delightful addition. I can see the recipient being so delighted to discover it. I love the the way you glued the colored sequins to the colored paper behind. It makes the entire rainbow so bright and glittery. I love the stitched sun and cloud layers. I love the look the inlaid "hello" makes. It just adds another unique touch to this wonderful card. Lovely work.
My goodness, such a wonderful card and the sliders wowow Such creativity. Makes me happy just looking at it, I can imagine the smiles when this card is opened up by family or friend. lovely
What a delightful and happy design!! Your rainbow is spectacular!! All those beautiful colors are wonderful and delightful. The clouds are fab as well. Love how you have the sun peeking behind the rainbow. Beautiful, creative and inspiring design!!
An AWESOME card! Even a slider! I have yet to make one of those. This is colorful and whimsical! Love all the details-your trademark on your cards! Love this one...into my favs!
The idea for this card came about last month and I had hoped to complete it as my entry for the product category (something shiny) in the March Inspirational Card Challenge but I had a bit of a time finding all the colors of the sequins I needed. It just so happens that the theme category in this month's Inspirational Card Challenge is weather so it fits that too.
This is a slider card. I created a slider track at the back of the rainbow and the sun slides from one side to the other in an arc. I used my nesting circle dies to make the rainbow and to make my slider track. I die cut and layered several suns (die by MFT) so that it would be sturdier when you slide it along the track. I glued the sequins along each colored stripe of the rainbow. The stitched clouds were cut using a die by Taylored Expressions. I also die cut and inlaid the sentiment in blue cardstock to match my card base.
April Inspirational Card Challenge - theme - weather
Hope your day is filled with sunshine! Thank you very much for brightening mine with your kindness!
