Wonderful images. I really like the bright coloring of the background and the roses in the front in the white. This will be a very appreciated card. It is always hard to lose a pet.
I love your dog drawings and may I just say that the whole "rainbow + corrugated board" combo is just the right blend of rough and magical to fit a dog.
I was drawing up a couple of free Sheltie dog digis (available on my blog: www.CraftyPaws.us) as a show of support for a crafty friend (well, really, I'm a fan-girl more than a friend :) ), when sadly, one of my friend's dogs who had been having major health scares with his old age, suddenly passed away.
I decided to proceed to create the digis as a tribute to her dogs and created this card commemorating his passing over the Rainbow Bridge.
I watercolored the background rainbow, and used Prismacolor Premium color pencils to color in the Sheltie digis. Then I die cut lots of flowers to create the dimensional paper flowers and vellum leaves, signifying the circle of life and the blooms to grow in his wake. I thought spraying the flowers with shimmer spray and die cutting the skeleton and smaller leaves from vellum added nice texture without adding a lot of color that might have detracted from the dogs and the rainbow background.
