Roses and candy are starting to fill store shelves, which means it's time to prepare for Valentine's Day. For me, that means making cards, cards, and even more cards! So today, I'm sharing a heart-filled greeting card that features the subtle yet gorgeous Peach Gelatos®.
I used a lot of my metal dies for this card, including this xoxo die that I cut with watercolor paper. I then colored three "xoxo" pieces with Gelatos® in Peach, Guava, and Strawberry (I was digging the fruits tonight!). I also painted a thin layer of Glass Bead Glitter Gel which you can see on the final card.
For the base of my card, I mixed Whipped Spackle with Peach Gelatos® and spread it over a Mixed Media 101 stencil.
Is there anything more satisfying than lifting a stencil?! It's so pretty! I also die cut a solid heart, which I colored with Strawberry Gelatos®. I used the heart as a backdrop for the layered 'xoxo' sentiment.
The finishing touches include a strip of gold glitter washi tape and mini die cut hearts colored with Gold Champagne Gelatos®.
