This is my take on sketch #4 from the April Card Sketch Challenge. I'm also using it as my entry for the photo category in this month's Inspirational Card Challenge.

I've been trying to come up with different ways to use the acetate pieces from the Doodlebug design Spring Things Odds and Ends pack. I decided to create an open part on this card and add my acetate 'happy' die cut to it. I used stitched rectangle dies to create my polka dot frame (The yellow and white polka dot paper is from DCWV - Pocket Blossom). Somewhere along the creative process, I thought it would be fun to add a wobbler to the back of this cute grasshopper to make him 'dance' so I made one using thin wire and cardstock circles. I used the edge of my largest stitched rectangle die and did partial cuts to create the diagonal stitched lines. I also added two green Sprinkles which were a RAK from Scrap-Time (Thank you!!!) to the antennae as well as a twine bow with one of my new heart shaped Sprinkles in the center.

Thank you for the visit and your wonderful encouragement! Wishing you many reasons to smile today!
