My sweet friend Phyllis LOVES the beach and even posts pics almost every day of her morning walks on the beach. I made this bookmark for her with a metal shell, and wavy-like flourishes (white embossing powder), as a wink to her love of the beach. Although I kept trying to make this greens AND blues, it kept turning all shades of greens, with just a taste of blues, so I added some "peacock feathers" ink on top of the texture paste. I envisioned it being more denim blues and just green as an accent, but she loved it and that's what matters. The torn fabrics and fibers are from my stash. Thanks for all of your sweet comments and for sharing all of your art!
