I wanted to create a card using the wonderful sentiment: "Throw kindness around like confetti." I wanted to keep it light, fun and spirited so I kept it CAS (clean and simple) and kept a tight color palette.
I used the Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script stamp set for the "kindness" and hand wrote the rest of the words with a Copic Multiliner Pen. I followed the rule of thirds and positioned the kindness (which is the main focal point) about 1/3 of the way down the vertical card.
Then I stamped out a cute little girl with outstretched arms from the Mama Elephant stamp set In My Heart (which was originally designed for Operation Write Home). I Copic colored her simply in blues and orange (I love how those complimentary colors look together).
I used the My Favorite Things Snowfall Stencil to blend on Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade with finger daubers to create a confetti-filled 2/3 of the card background. To carry on the continuity of the blues in the little girl's dress, I added some extra small dots with Copic markers in the confetti too.
As a finishing touch, I added 9 sequins in sheer orange and lemon yellow to add some sparkle interest and dimension to the confetti in a triangle formation.
