Beautifully done, love the simplicity and amazing textures, what a wonderful treasure you created! I still send and receive both and feel very blessed each time one of these little treasures arrives from family or friends. All are little keepsakes and treasures that warm my heart and brighten my day!
So pretty. The background piece is beautifully created. Like the doily/flower combo and the white leaves. Like too that gauzy material beneath all that.
Yes, it's so much better when we make our own cards, but none of ours are quite like your stunning work! WOW! Simply amazing!
P.S. Happy May to you, too!
Oh my gracious this is a STUNNING card Randi! Just melted my heart & thought, "she is a girl after my own heart!" Wonderful bg work & love the cheese cloth, doily & lovely flower. Honestly, I can't remember when I bought a card last?? I tell myself that instead of paying 3 or 4 dollars or more for a card I can put that towards my postage!LOL Homemade cards are a piece of ourselves going to a certain person, hopefully to be treasured....Yes Ma'am!:)
Oh Randi, this is breathtaking! So soft and pretty! I love the sentiment you chose. I still have a stash of bought cards from before I started making my own (I started in 2014) so there are times, when holidays or birthdays creep up on me and I will send one of those. I prefer to send handmade ones, but that is simply an expectation I am putting on myself.
Oh my goodness, Randi!!!!!
As ALWAYS, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING !!!
Your work is absolutely inspiring to All us !!!!!
I have to gasp, looking at this card!!!!!
Hugs~Robin:)
Happy May First! One of two birthday cards made. This one is a watercolored, embossed background. Added a doily die-cut over some cheesecloth, flower, some die-cut leaves; seam binding ribbon, sequins and a gem. I admit, there are times that I will still purchase a pre-made card at the store. But whenever I do this, I sometimes give two birthday cards. I do this because I like the front of the card but the sentiment is just "so-so" and vice-versa. That's why it's SO much better when we make our own cards. Yes, ma'am! This way we know we will like both the front of the card's design and the sentiment. Quick question for my fellow Card-makers out there: Does anyone still get "store-bought" cards? I am curious to know.
For those who take time to peek and leave comments, I truly appreciate each one!
Have a wonderful, scrap-happy day! And don't forget to keep smilin'!
