Quilling Designer Board

Well the top of this one is plastic, the bottom is foam. I pulled them apart so I could add wax paper, I didn't want a perfect quill ruined because it was stuck to the bottom. From one scrapbooker to another I think using fun foam and different size sizziz circles or punches would work too if you already have them. But the board was rather cheap $4.00.

Could you use foam or several layers of punched out foam glued together to make a board like this?

Quilling Designer Board

It was suggested on a quilling thread that I use this type of board to get my twirled circles to open to the same size. The smallest circles were not small enough for the project I was working on at the time so I used my crop-a-dial to punch holes in chipboard and it worked just fine. My only proble was I had to be very careful not to get any glue on the chipboard.
