In honor of today, Star Wars Day (May the Fourth, get it? May the Force!) here is a page I've had in time out for quite some time. This is a pic of DH and I on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb 2016. I'm an avid Seahawks fan and hubs is by force... er extension. Since the Hawks did not make the Super Bowl (after a very good try), we decided to boycott the SB and FIIIINALLY go see The Force Awakens. I've been wanting to see it since Christmas as I am a big Star Wars fan and DH (also by force... pun intended) is as well, though he usually needs a translation or explanation from his nerd wife. He is also a little nuts about his movies. He refuses to go in the first two weeks of a release because of the seating and takes being late to the theater worse than being late to the airport! So needless to say, I did not expect to get to see The Force Awakens when it came out.... at Christmas... (Instead we went to see the last Hunger Games, which had also been out for a month by then... sigh)
Anyway, we dropped our kids off at their Abuela's (grandmother) and went in our Hawk gear to the Archlight theater in Culver City - the only one in the area still showing the movie.
And color us surprised and very excited that this particular theater serves alcohol with their popcorn! SO we sat back in our reclining leather seats, propped our feet up and enjoyed a bottle of wine, popcorn and the latest and greatest in Lucas Films! The force was strong with us!
This is for my Scraplift the Person Before You and is a gentle lift of the lovely Arteshamac's page 'Hot Coffee & Beignetts' seen here: https://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/layout/5719383.html
I had planned to keep the format very similar, but realized my photos weren't in the same direction. So I improvised a bit... LOVE how this turned out and, believe me, there will be an epic Star Wars night tonight at Casa Polio... This is obviously for National Star Wars Day... LOL! Also for my HOARDERS challenge, Wood Challenge, and NSD Embellishment challenge. Had so much fun using those wood hexagons for once and LOVE those little K & Co pillow stickers! This page has been in time out for over a year as I tried to figure out how to make it work the way I wanted and I'm so glad I waited! TFL!
