This is a double page shabby chic style layout featuring my sweet Biscuit as a 1 year old (jumping picture with ears flying) and now at 16.

I used the Wendy girl, Peter Pan boy and "forever young" sentiment from The Greeting Farm's "Never Ever" (retired) stamp set as well as the pup from The Greeting Farm "Mini Remix Happy" stamp set with no line Copic coloring. They are fussy cut out and popped up on fun foam for dimension.

The quote in journaling spot on the left layout under Wendy is from Peter Pan: "You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always love you. That's where I'll be waiting." I printed that out and used a Stampin Up notebook punch for the top and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Spun Sugar and Antique Linen.

We recently had another terrible health scare when we thought we'd lose our sweet girl. Miraculously she pulled through. This double page LO has a lot of journaling that memorializes snippets of our lives together--through 3 moves, 5 career changes, terrible health scares for me and her, how we met my hubby, the addition of our 2nd fur baby (a Havanese named Bandito who stole our hearts) and how we got through everything together. Note the little heart at the end of the last journaling block, representing everything my sweet girl is to me--LOVE. I printed all of this out using a Distress Typewriter font in brown and again used the Stampin Up notebook punch for the top snippet and inked the edges of everything with Spun Sugar and Antique Linen. I also sprayed the edges of each journaling snippet with Heidi Swapp Shimmer Spray in Clear for a subtle shimmer.

I used 2 patterned papers from an old DCWV paper stack from my hoard vault called "The Lace & Linen Stack" for the background and base papers. I used a Tim Holtz Alterations Weathered Clock die and Prima Vintage Clock die to create the tonal white/pink background layer just beneath the pictures, inked again with Spun Sugar and Antique Linen.

I used old crocheted lace trim, buttons threaded with metallic gold thread, pale pink pearl trim, and 5 hand fussy cut paper flower images for embellishments. The title, "FOREVER YOUNG," is done with American Crafts Thickers that I also inked up with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar.

I followed the sketch from SCT Magazine here: http://scrapbookandcardstodaymag.typepad.com/scrapbook_cards_today_blo/2017/05/800-am-welcome-to-our-international-scrapbook-day-kickoff.html
