G45 Voyage Beneath the Sea Tri-Fold Book/Card

Made this for my DD this week. A mixed media G45 project. This Tri-fold started out as a card and transformed itself into a book with lots of tags for journaling and photos. That is why I did not overwork the inside because I wanted her to be able to put her stamp on it. The cover however I thouroughly enjoyed making!!!!!!!! So much fun using my found objects(like the large metal star-burst and rings) and my hoarded G45 pps as well as the Prima porthole. The flowers are sequin rosettes. I fussy cut the pps and cut down the archway they are swimming through. Used raw chipboard for book and behind cut outs for lift. The sari silk ribbon from my friend Carri was perfect for this project! Havig a self taught lesson on using the beads, mica flakes, inks, and glazes. Showed lots of photos, step by step because it all started with layers of paper towels and gesso. TFL!
