Card 2 was the first one I made. When I received some new colors of Oxide Inks, I wanted to try out the warm colors. I should have applied the Warm Lipstick first and then just a bit of Fire Brick so there would be some shading, but I wasn't thinking. I started with the Fired Brick and then added the Warm Lipstick. I ended up with a coral color. Then I added just a bit of Wilted Violet for a subtle contrast.

I was surprised that the Nuvo Brushes were not softer than they are. I had wanted something softer than my stenciling brushes because I managed to ruin my Tim Holtz Scribbles Stencil the first time I used it; it has very thin connection pieces.

I used the Misti to stamp the Hello several times, and I could still see the pattern under it. I should have used a pigment ink. I didn't want to emboss it since the Oxide Inks leave a beautiful matte finish; I didn't want a glossy sentiment. I ended up using the die in the set and placed it on Stick-It-Adhesive before die cutting the sentiment. I placed it directly over the stamped Hello. When I see the magnified view of this card, I can see that the ink actually splattered when I stamped it with the Misti; I'll need to be more careful when I lower that lid.

Card 1 was made a few weeks later. I was more careful about blending the colors so that they remained distinct.
It was easier to do that with the ink applicators.
