Following a technique I found on Split Coast Stampers, I dabbed Tim Holtz Distress Paint onto the flat side of an embossing folder, spritzed it with a water-and-Perfect Pearls mixture, and used it to "stamp" a card front on Tim Holtz water color paper. Then, I stamped Thank You (from Close to My Heart) over a light section of the background, in Black Soot distress ink, and embossed it with clear detail embossing powder. I traced a heart around that part, using a Sakura Glaze gel pen. Then, I trimmed down the water color panel, matted it on black and then added it to a white card base.
The larger sections that do not show the pewter or black paint actually have white paint. I was hoping that would make the Perfect Pearls show up a little more. I think it worked. See the second photo for this effect.
