A few months ago, a friend of mine from work asked if I would mind making a LO using a photo of her mother and late grandmother as a Memorial Day present. We've been talking through the details and finally came up with a few specifics. Since her grandmother was a church goer and a snappy dresser, we wanted to include a cross and a Sunday church hat and a pair of simple styled pumps. (The hat didn't work out but since she was pictured in one, we finally decided to forgo that idea.) I also was to include an oven (due to both their of loves of baking). Purple and gold were favorite colors of her grandmother and she also told me that household plants (specifically the vine variety) should be included. And finally, their birth dates were in April and May and so diamond and emerald gems had to be incorporated.

I have decided to enter this is just a few challenges here.
First, NSD PICK-A-SKETCH CHALLENGE :In addition to all the requests, I was also inspired to use a sketch that can be found at this link: http://marilynrivera.blogspot.fi/2012/06/scrapthat-july-kit-reveal-and-blog-hop.html

I also decided to enter it in the NSD/May Big B-Day/M-day Bash Challenge. For that, I needed a few things but discovered with this busy LO, I had them all already.
1. Something Big - of course the circle might count but also the gem in the largest flower seems pretty big to me
2. 5 of Something - I have five smaller blue inked flowers
Zero or Circle - that should pretty obvious
3. 2 Papers - I do have more than that, but only 2 patterned papers: The purple paper is by K&Co and is called Purple Jubilee Burst and the blue circle paper is by Creative Imaginations and is called Friends.
Heart - in the oven door
4. Any theme... done of course

NSD 2017 USE YOUR STAMPS CHALLENGE
I think I"m going to try to re-attack this challenge and try to use all the stamping requests and the techniques
So for this entry, I have the multiple stamping of one image on the cross face (Stampin Up Wedding Elegance)

May HOARDERS - NSD Special Challenge
I finally cut into a white and gold dotted specialty paper I've had for years now. I also used that peacock feather that I won here several years ago in another NSD contest/challenge. It was part of a Webster's Pages Floral Bouquet. As for the TWIST, I can't think of a project that better shows my passion. Maybe my biggest passion in life at the moment is using my talents to create something very special for another person. This LO was most especially that sort of work. Of course, I did not directly answer the question on the LO... nor could I have done that.
