One of my friends finds inlayed die cuts fascinating so when I was thinking of what to create for her birthday card I knew I'd want to include that in the design. I chose my floral background print (DCWV - Pocket Blossom), then used one of my MFT stitched scallop rectangle dies to cut out the center. I used this same die to cut a piece of gold mirror cardstock (it looks kinda green in the picture) which I added into the space I had cut out of my background. I cut a piece of matching floral print to fit in the middle of my gold rectangle but before adhering it, I die cut happy birthday in the center to create a spot to inlay my greeting which I cut from coral cardstock. I also made the flowers.
