this is one of the layouts i created especially for the scrapbook.com nsd mixed media challenge. the 12x12 is from a budget brand of paper we have here in the uk. the photo is on a black mat, the paper underneath was heavy paper which i sprayed with water, i then sprinkled on some turquoise brusho, sprayed more water and swirled it all around before scrunching up the whole sheet. i unscrunched it and left it to dry. when dry i distressed the edge with purple distress ink. the small frame was painted with gesso and then coloured with water and brusho. the large butterfly was given to me in a swap a couple of years ago and was plain white. i used copic markers to colour it. the drips at the top are an experiment that turned out great and i will be using again. its gesso mixed with water and a little bit of brusho. i love the chalky effect that it gives. the black dragonfly is a diecut which i added flatback pearls to. the other dragonfly is from an old piece of broken jewellery. the other necklace isnt broken but i thought it went so well with the page i didnt mind sacrificing it. i used 2 strips of washi tape at the bottom which i stuck onto white card before i put on the page so the white parts stayed nice and bright
